Following another eruption of Crisis in Kaduna town today, the National Union of Nigeria Students (NUNS) has warned Students in the State not get involve in the Crisis.
He noted that no educated mind as Students who is undergoing professional training of making the country a better place will allow himself to be used to destroy things because of Religious believe.
Speaking in a phone Chat with CAMPUS FOCUS today, the National President of the Union, Amb. Salaudeen Adeyemi Lukman maintained that Religion is a thing that is transferred to one by parents hence should not be allowed to destroy of one’s future.
“If I am born in a Christian home for example, certainly I will begin to go to Church but because I am born into a Muslim home, I began to go to Mosque. These religions are transferred to us, so why fight because of it.
“We students are learned and cannot allow ourselves to be used to destroy the future we will be living in. It’s only the illiterate that can be hijacked by any political class to cause problem in the country”
Lukman however called on the Kaduna State Government to provide adequate securities in the Campuses and provide adequate logistics for students who are interested to go back to their homes.
The Student Union in a Statement earlier released today advised all students in Kaduna state to avoid any attempt to run off Campus.
“students in various institutions within Kaduna metropolis are strictly advice to stay in their various campuses, avoid any attempt to travel or run to off campus Apartment/Hostel, our leadership are in close contact with management of institutions cut within the town through the Dean of Student affairs and Students Union Government President to ensure more security presence around the institutions are secured from Kaduna State Government.
“We are equally making effort to reach out to various States Government through their indigenous National Student bodies to secure vehicle with adequate security escort to evacuate interested students who are interested to leave for their respective home state from these institution in question.
