EFCC arrests 25 internet fraudsters in Ilorin

In a bid to combat the rising tide of internet fraud, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested 25 suspected internet fraudsters in Ilorin, Kwara State.

The arrests were made during two separate sting operations at various locations in the state, following credible intelligence about the activities of suspected fraudsters.

According to a statement issued by Dele Oyewale, Head of Media and Publicity at the EFCC, the suspects were found with six exotic cars, different brands of phones, and laptops. The suspects will be arraigned in court once investigations are concluded.

This operation demonstrates the EFCC’s commitment to tackling internet fraud and bringing perpetrators to justice.

The agency’s efforts are crucial in protecting innocent citizens from falling victim to these scams and maintaining the integrity of Nigeria’s financial systems.”
