Burglars Target Kwara United GM Bashir Badawiy’s Home in Ilorin, Steal Valuables

Unknown burglars, on Thursday, May 23, broke into the Ilorin residence of Bashir Badawiy, the General Manager of Kwara United, making off with properties worth millions of naira, including his wife’s jewelry.

The intruders took advantage of the absence of Badawiy and his wife, who were not at home at the time of the incident.

Badawiy was returning from Enugu, where he had led Kwara United to a Federation Cup victory over Warri Wolves, when he received the distress call informing him of the break-in.

The burglars successfully stole various belongings and valuable jewelry from the house. The total worth of the stolen items is estimated to be in the millions of naira.

By Thursday night, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of B Division Police Station in Ilorin and his team were present at Badawiy’s residence on Stadium Road.

They have pledged to thoroughly investigate the robbery and bring the culprits to justice.
