Veteran Nollywood actor Zack Orji has dismissed rumors of his death, following recent speculations that circulated online. Orji, who had traveled to the UK for medical examinations after undergoing two brain surgeries, addressed the false reports during an interview on Channels Television.
Labeling the rumors as “a lie from the pit of hell,” Orji expressed his dismay at the spread of misinformation on social media platforms. He mentioned receiving numerous calls from concerned individuals, highlighting the impact of fake news in today’s digital age.
Orji also commented on the reckless nature of some individuals who use social media to gain traction, even if it means spreading falsehoods.
The actor’s clarification comes amidst a wave of false reports that emerged shortly after the passing of fellow actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr. Ibu, adding to the challenges of combating misinformation in the media landscape.
