The Oke-Ero Chapter of Nigerian Youth Decide (NYD) has expressed shock over the sudden demise of Hon. Funke Adedoyin representing Irepodun/Oke-Ero/Isin/Ekiti federal constituency at the House of Representative.
The group in a statement signed by the local government mobilization director Comr. Ariyo Adedeji described the untimely demise as a great loss to the state.
“We receive in shock the news of the sudden death of Hon. Funke Adedoyin representing local government Irepodun/Oke-Ero/Isin/Ekiti.
“It is really shocking to hear that our own representative and a distinct woman at the federal house of assembly have left us. This is a great loss to Oke-Ero, Kwara State, and the generality of Nigeria.”
Adedeji recalled that Adedoyin was one of the active lawmaker at the lower chamber.
“She was one of the active women at the federal house of representative who has passion for what she was doing. She will forever be missed. She was a representative passionate about her constituent. We will forever miss her.”
The group however commiserates with her immediate family, the constituent, friends and her colleagues in the house of representative for the severe loss.
Until her death, Hon Funke Adedoyin who died at the age of fifty-four, was the deputy chairman, House committee at the federal house of representative on Army.
She was once a minister of State for Health under Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration.
