Why I Did Not Visit Rivers LP Guber Candidate – Peter Obi

The Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has explained why he did not pay a visit to Mrs Beatrice Itubo, the party’s gubernatorial candidate in Rivers State, claiming he was unaware she was ill.

Obi was in Rivers State on Thursday at the invitation of Governor Nyesom Wike to commission the Nkpolu Oroworukwo flyover in Port Harcourt.

Obi has stated that he was unaware of Mrs Itubo’s illness.

He disclosed this on his verified Twitter handle on Saturday.

“My heartfelt apologies to Mrs Beatrice Itubo, the Labour Party candidate in Rivers State, for an inadvertent oversight,” he wrote. I was not informed or aware of her illness when I visited Port Harcourt a few days ago.

“No one mentioned that our candidate was ill; otherwise, I would have paid her a visit prior to or after the event.” I had promised to stop by the campaign office no matter what, and I did so around 6.30 p.m. My dear sister, I wish you a speedy recovery and assure you of our good working relationship. May God Almighty continue to bless you.”

I can’t blame you less, I only blame those that follow you upandown blindly. With every messages you’ve display with your actions it shows that you don’t have what it takes to lead.

Common sense will tell a man who was invited to commission a project to have a to do list on such visitation. You don’t need to be told – can’t you get in touch directly with her since the invitation notice came earlier. And you even said that Rivers State belong to Wike, meaning it is pointless having your party candidate running for governor
