Vice Principal nabbed for impregnating 12-Yr-Old Student

A Secondary School Vice Principal, Ibrahim Tukur has been arrested by the Nigerian Police for impregnating a 12 years old student.

Tukur was paraded alongside other suspects by Katsina State Police Command headquarters on Wednesday.

The Police Spokesman, Gambo Isah, told journalists during the parade that the Vice Principal was arrested on January 9, 2021, following a report on the incident at the Rimi Divisional Police headquarters by one Ibrahim Sani.

According to him, the Vice Principal took advantage of the girl.

“The Vice Principal who is married to three wives used to take the girl from the school to his house where he had serial sex with her. As a result, he got impregnated her and she was delivered of a baby through a Caesarian operation.”

The girl has however been delivered of a baby from the pregnancy.

Other suspects paraded by the state police command included Auwal Hamzat and Sulaiman Abubakar who were alleged to have engaged in anal sex with three boys who were children of their neighbours.

The neighbours reported the incident to the police leading to their arrest.

Similarly, 25 years old Ishiaku Sani was also paraded for allegedly to having anal sex with a six-year-old son of his neighbour, one Saada Abdullahi who reported the incident to the police on January 10, 2021.

Also, 61-year-old man, Lawan Sani, who was alleged to have raped a six-year-old girl was also arrested. The girl’s mother, Magajia Shuaibu, reported the incident at the Central Police Station, Katsina, leading to Sani’s arrest on January 14, 2021.

In the same vein, the police arrested Jamilu Salisu over alleged rape of a five-year-old girl in Funtua. The girl’s mother, one Sadid Hayatu, reported the incident at the Funtua Central Police Station leading to Salisu’s arrest on January 11, 2021.

The police spokesperson has however enjoined parents to be watchful and monitor their children to avoid being sexually molested.

“The Commissioner of Police is worried, so also are we at the Command, over the recent upsurge in cases of rape. We are working in synergy with other stakeholders including traditional rulers, religious leaders, the state government and the media to rid Katsina of rape and other crimes.”

All the suspects alleged to have committed rape-related offences were arrested between 9 and 14 January 2021.

Among those also paraded by the Katsina State Police command also includes seven suspects who were arrested for allegedly being in possession of local currency (Naira).

The suspects were arrested on January 3, 2021, following a report by a POS operator in Funtua, Maryam Abubakar, on their activities.
