The Assistant Secretary of State for Educational and Cultural Affairs, Lee Satterfield, for the United States, will on Sunday pay a visit to Nigeria.
She will commence the trip from March 17th to March 22nd, 2024.
This was made known in a statement released by the US Mission on its website on Friday.
According to the statement, Satterfield will reinforce the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to Africa by focusing on people-to-people connections between Americans and Nigerians during the period of her visit.
She will also build on the recent visit of Secretary of State, Antony Blinken to Nigeria.
Blinken’s visit to Nigeria in January, according to the US State Department, was part of a bid to forge a united front with key African democracies as crisis engulfed the world.
