The Management of the University of Port Harcourt will on Tues 29th October, 2019 launch a Document containing policy to fight against sexual harassment in Campus.
The policies will curtail issues of Sexual harassment between staff and students in the institution.
This is coming few months after series of Sexual assault in Nigeria’s Tertiary Institutions surfaced in the media.
The university of Port harcort however in a statement by the Institution Registrar Mrs. Dorcas Otto on Monday made its position known on her fight against the ilict act.
According to the statement, the policy titled ‘Sexual Harassment Policy’ contains regulations that will ensure issues of sexual assaults are prevented, reported and response.
The event is scheduled to hold at Ebitimi Banigo Auditorium, University Park by 10am.
