The University of Ibadan has admitted 3,749 candidates for the 2023/2024 academic session, who are set to partake in the upcoming Matriculation Ceremony scheduled for Tuesday, April 23, 2024.
Due to the current circumstances, the ceremony will be held virtually, with participants required to join online at 10 a.m. The Vice-Chancellor, Professor K. O. Adebowale, mni, FAS, will officially inaugurate the ceremony and deliver a keynote address.
Dr. Victor T. Alabi, from the Centre for Language Studies at Brown University, U.S.A., will deliver the Matriculation Lecture titled “Harnessing the Giant in You for Giant Strides.”
The Registrar, Mr. G. O. Saliu, will administer the Matriculation Declaration/Oath to the new students, marking their official induction into the University of Ibadan community.
