The University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan has announced the death of a former Chairman Board of Management of the Hospital, Prof. Oladipo Olujimi Akinkugbe.
The Chief Medical Director (CMD), University College Hospital (UCH), Ibadan, Professor Jesse Abiodun Otegbay said this in a statement on it’s twitter handle.
According to the statement the Prof. Akinkugbe who had witnessed remarkable progress during is time, died on June 15, 2020.
The statement reads: “I received with sadness the passing away of Emeritus Prof. Oladipo Olujumi Akinkugbe who departed this world earlier today. He was a former Chairman Board of Management of University College Hospital, Ibadan and the Hospital witnessed a remarkable course of progress under him
“The late icon meant many things to many people. To me, he was a teacher, mentor, an academic colossus and a counsellor. He was undoubtedly a man of many parts.
“I pray that the Lord God Almighty grant his soul eternal repose and keep the good family he left behind.”
