The President of the United States has confirmed holding a “very good” telephone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, following a prior call with Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The U.S. leader stated that the call with Zelenskyy lasted approximately an hour and focused on aligning the needs and requests of both Russia and Ukraine.

The diplomatic engagement comes amid ongoing efforts to mediate tensions between the two nations.

“Much of the discussion was based on the call made yesterday with President Putin in order to align both Russia and Ukraine in terms of their requests and needs. We are very much on track,” the President wrote.

He further announced that Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Michael Waltz would provide a detailed statement outlining the key points discussed.

The administration is expected to release an official statement soon.

The calls signal renewed U.S. diplomatic efforts to facilitate dialogue between Moscow and Kyiv.

While details of the discussions remain undisclosed, analysts speculate that issues such as security assurances, territorial disputes, and potential pathways for peace were on the agenda.

As the international community closely watches these developments, the Biden administration’s approach to the Russia-Ukraine conflict will likely shape global diplomatic strategies in the coming months.
