Two arrested for disrupting election in Sokoto

No fewer than two people have been apprehended by the Sokoto State Police Command for disturbing the election process during the Saturday re-run in the state.

The state police public relations officer, ASP Ahmed Rufai, who made the disclosure in an interview, stated that the two persons were arrested at Magaji polling units in Shagari.

He said, “We have two persons arrested in the Mazuzi polling units area of the Kambalawa ward of Shagari Local Government.

“The two persons pretended as if they wanted to cast their votes, and in the process, they disturbed the election process, and the two of them were arrested.

“They are currently in our custody while investigations are ongoing on the matter.”
