Nigerian crossdresser and social media personality Bobrisky has dismissed the implications of former US President Donald Trump’s executive order recognising only two genders, asserting that the policy does not apply to him.
Reacting to the controversial proclamation, Bobrisky reaffirmed his identity as a woman, stating that he has undergone all necessary medical procedures to transition.
“I am a woman, and I’ve done everything required to affirm my gender. If anyone needs proof, I’m ready to provide it,” Bobrisky said confidently.
Addressing concerns about the cost of such procedures, Bobrisky added, “I can afford any medical fees related to my transition. This isn’t about politics for me—it’s my life and identity.”
Bobrisky also criticised Trump’s stance, describing it as irrelevant to his reality. “Trump’s proclamation doesn’t affect me. I know who I am, and that’s what matters,” he said.
The response came amid reports of Trump’s plans to ban government policies promoting gender-affirming healthcare and enforce laws recognising only male and female genders.
Bobrisky’s remarks have sparked widespread discussions on social media, with supporters commending his confidence and detractors questioning his statements.
While the debate on gender identity continues to gain traction globally, Bobrisky remains one of Nigeria’s most outspoken figures in the LGBTQ+ community, often challenging traditional norms and societal expectations.
