Donald Trump’s highly anticipated return to the White House is underway, as the billionaire Republican arrived in Washington on Saturday, accompanied by his wife Melania and other family members.
Trump’s arrival marks the beginning of a series of events and celebrations leading up to his inauguration on Monday.
After landing at Dulles International Airport, Trump attended a private event at his golf club in Virginia, complete with a fireworks show.
The event was a precursor to the official inaugural celebrations, which will include a swearing-in ceremony, inaugural address, and parade.
In an interview with NBC News on Saturday, Trump revealed plans to sign a record number of executive orders immediately after being sworn in. “Right after” delivering his inaugural address on Monday, Trump will begin signing the orders, which are expected to be “record-setting” in number.
When asked if the number would exceed 100, Trump confirmed, “at least in that category.”
While he remained tight-lipped about which cities would be affected, Trump assured NBC that the impact would be evident as developments unfold.
