Tinubu Reduce Ministers’ Vehicles, Security

President Bola Tinubu has restricted Federal Ministers and agency heads to a maximum of three vehicles in their official convoys, aiming to cut government costs.

In a statement, Tinubu confirmed that no additional vehicles would be provided for movement.

This directive is part of ongoing efforts to reduce government expenditure, following earlier measures to limit his own entourage during trips.

Ministers and agency heads will now be allowed a maximum of five security personnel; four police officers and one from the Department of State Services. No extra security personnel will be permitted.

The National Security Adviser has been instructed to collaborate with security agencies to assess further reductions in vehicle and personnel deployments. All officials are expected to comply with these changes immediately.
