In a statement released on Monday by his Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the President, on behalf of the nation, praised Tems for her outstanding artistry, which has once again brought pride to Nigeria on the global stage.

President Tinubu also celebrated the rise of a new wave of young and multi-talented Nigerian musicians who have propelled Afrobeats to global recognition, strengthening Nigeria’s reputation as a hub of musical innovation and cultural influence.

“From Africa to Antarctica, Asia to Australia, and Europe to the Americas, Nigerian music—especially Afrobeats—has become a source of national pride, fostering identity, self-expression, and unity across borders,” Tinubu stated.

He further congratulated other Nigerian artists who received Grammy nominations this year, including Yemi Alade, Asake, Wizkid, Lojay, Davido, and Burna Boy.

The President commended them for putting Nigeria on the global music map and showcasing the country’s creative excellence.
