President Bola Tinubu has congratulated former President Goodluck Jonathan on winning the prestigious 2025 Sunhak Peace Founders’ Award.
Tinubu applauded Jonathan’s consistent advocacy for peace, harmony, and communality, which has earned him global recognition.
According to a statement released by the president’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Mr. Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu praised Jonathan’s bold efforts in peace-building and promoting democracy in Africa and beyond.
The president also recalled Jonathan’s historic acceptance of the 2015 presidential election results and his peaceful handover of power to an opposition party, which significantly bolstered Nigeria’s democratic profile.
Tinubu’s congratulatory message celebrates Jonathan’s landmark achievement and thanks the Sunhak Peace Prize Committee for recognizing his efforts.
