Tinubu appoints new executive directors for NPA, NIMASA

President Bola Tinubu has recently unveiled the appointments of executive directors to key positions within the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) and the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), both falling under the jurisdiction of the Federal Ministry of Marine and Blue Economy.

In the Nigerian Ports Authority, Ms. Vivian C. Richard Edet has been designated as the Executive Director of Finance and Administration, Engr. Olalekan Badmus is set to serve as the Executive Director of Marine and Operations and Engr. Ibrahim Abba Umar has been appointed as the Executive Director of Engineering and Technical Services.

For the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, Mr. Jibril Abba has been chosen as the Executive Director of Maritime Labour and Cabotage Services, Mr. Chudi Offodile will assume the role of Executive Director of Finance and Administration, and Engr. Fatai Taye Adeyemi has been named the Executive Director of Operations.

The official announcement, made on Thursday by Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Tinubu, expressed the President’s confidence in the appointees.

President Tinubu believes in their remarkable profiles and is confident that they will promptly and effectively execute their collective mandate.

The overarching objective is to bolster the Marine and Blue Economy Sector, making a substantial contribution to the nation’s GDP.
