President Bola Tinubu has appointed Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman as the Executive Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
This announcement was made by Chief Ajuri Ngelale, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity.
Professor Usman is a distinguished scholar, having earned qualifications from both the University of Madinah in Saudi Arabia and Peshawar University in Pakistan.
His expertise extends to Hajj operations, where he previously served as the Chairman of the Kano State Pilgrims Board, managing the state’s substantial quota of pilgrims with notable success.
This appointment, however, is pending confirmation by the Nigerian Senate.
President Tinubu has charged Professor Usman with the responsibility of leading NAHCON with integrity, transparency, and a strong commitment to serving the nation.
