Tinubu Appoints Four New Permanent Secretaries for FCT

President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of four new Permanent Secretaries for the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

This development comes as part of a broader administrative reshuffle in response to the upcoming retirement of two existing Permanent Secretaries and the establishment of the Youth Development Secretariat.

Anthony Ogunleye, Director of Press in the Office of the FCT Minister, made the announcement in Abuja on Wednesday.

The new appointees are Joy Okeke from the South East, Rotimi Ajayi from the South West, and Nancy Nathan from the North East.

Additionally, the position of Solicitor-General of the FCT Administration has been upgraded to Solicitor-General/Permanent Secretary for the Legal Services Secretariat.

Ogunleye also noted that Abdullahi Ango will assume the role of Mandate Secretary for the newly created Youth Development Secretariat. The formal inauguration of these appointees is scheduled for Thursday.

This move follows President Tinubu’s earlier appointment of 10 pioneer Permanent Secretaries for the FCTA on March 12, in line with the FCT Civil Service Commission Law of 2018.
