The suspect, identified as Zahradeenee Suleiman, is alleged to specialise in the theft of vehicles and motorcycles.
ASP Mansir Hassan, the command’s spokesperson, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Monday in Kaduna.
According to Hassan, the arrest was made following a distress call received by the police on July 20 at around 2:30 a.m., reporting a burglary at a shop.
Upon arriving at the scene, police operatives arrested Suleiman, a 35-year-old resident of Galma Road, Tsugugi area in Sabon Gari, Zaria Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
A search of the suspect revealed approximately 30 different sizes of keys for vehicles and motorcycles, including two locally fabricated master keys.
Hassan stated that Suleiman would be charged to court for prosecution after the investigation is concluded.
The arrest was made possible through a tip-off from a Good Samaritan, who reported that he had been asked to help collect a Lexus LX470 Jeep from a mechanic.
