Sure Hope Counseling Clinic was on Thursday, officially opened by the wife of Oyo state deputy Governor, Chief Mrs. Ajibola Ajibike Lawal, in Ibadan, the Oyo state capital.
Located at Ground Floor, Store G16, Jericho Mall, the new facility was projected to mark a significant stride in the battle against mental health challenges and counseling related issues.
While speaking, the brain behind the clinic, lead consultant and Proprietor of Sure Hope Clinic, Mrs Tosin Togun poured her heart out during the inauguration.
She recounted her journey towards the establishment of the clinic. She also explained services the clinic will render.
Her words: “My mother recognised the seeds of counseling within me; she nurtured and stood by me until this juncture. Though my academic path didn’t initially lead me to counseling, my mentors redirected my course.
“Today, we stand together to witness the fruition of Sure Hope Clinic, boasting an extraordinary 87.5% success rate since its inception in 2018.”
While delivering her speech, the wife of the Deputy Governor, Chief Mrs. Ajibola Ajibike Lawal, pledged her unequivocal support to the clinic’s mission.
She stressed the need to have initiative like this in the state as she promised to support the counselling community.
Her words: “I am truly honoured to stand here today as we inaugurate the Sure Hope Counseling Clinic. In a world that thrives on progress, we must not forget the well-being of our minds.
“This clinic is more than just a structure; it embodies commitment to addressing the silent struggles that many face. Let us remember that seeking help is a sign of strength, and Sure Hope Clinic will be a trusted partner in this journey towards mental wellness.”
The array of services offered by Sure Hope Clinic includes the following, Mental Health Counseling, Pre & Post Marital Counseling, Parental Counseling, Child & Adolescence Counseling, Career & Educational Counseling, Behavioral & Personality Adjustment, Training & Mentorship, and Organisational and Corporate Counseling.
They also help to cater to diverse needs, the clinic has structured its services into categories, namely Regular, Priority, Home Service, and Retainership.
The event was graced by dignitaries which includes CSP Funke Ayenigbara, the officer in charge of Gender affairs at the Oyo State Criminal Investigation Department, the Resident Pastor, Living Faith Church, Eleyele, Pastor John Appviroro, among others.
