Sisi Quadri, another star lost in Nollywood

Following the announcement of Quadri Oyebamiji Tolani’s passing on social media, also known as Sisi Quadri, the Yoruba segment of the Nigerian film industry has entered a state of mourning.

The late actor Sisi Quadri was pictured on Bolaji Amusan’s Instagram page with the brief statement, “Hmm may God grant him eternal rest,” confirming the news of his passing. Mr. Latin, the President of the Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAM).

On other Nollywood social media pages, several commenters to the news assert that the actor had long struggled with kidney problems, which could have contributed to his death.

Sisi Quadri was a well-liked actor who specialised in Yoruba epic films. His feminine motions and voice earned him a reputation.

In most of his films, he played a clumsy, vulgar village clown.

His education was in Ondo State, yet he was from Osun State.
