Reports indicate that around 40 individuals are trapped under the debris of a collapsed building in Sabon Lugbe, a suburb of Abuja.
The incident occurred around 5 PM on Saturday while people were still inside the structure.
Footage shared on social media shows local residents attempting to rescue those trapped beneath the rubble.
As of now, it remains unclear if emergency services have arrived to assist with the rescue efforts.
Attempts to contact Nkechi Isa, the Head of Public Affairs at the FCT Emergency Management Department, have been unsuccessful.
