An Ado Ekiti High Court has jailed a 35-year-old man, Olowo Ismaila, for 14 years for raping a minor.
Justice Dele Omotoso, in his verdict, said the prosecution has proved the case against Ismaila beyond reasonable doubt.
Omotoso in his judgment averred that the evidence before the court including the medical report, proved that Ismaila committed the crime.
He submitted that Ismaila’s sentence would start counting from 14th April, 2016 when he was first remanded in prison custody for the offence.
The convict committed the crime on 1st February, 2016 in Iluomoba-Ekiti, Gbonyin Local Government Area of Ekiti State.
