President Bola Tinubu will on Monday (today) address Nigerians on at 7 pm.
This was disclosed in a statement on Monday morning by the President’s Special Adviser on Strategy, Communication and Special Duties, Mr Dele Alake.
The statement read, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will make a broadcast to the nation on Monday, July 31, 2023, at 7 pm.
“Television, radio stations and other electronic media outlets are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority and Radio Nigeria for the broadcast,” the statement read.
However, there are strong indications that the broadcast may not be unconnected to the current tension in the country occasion by the removal of subsidy on Petrol which has increased the amount of petrol pump price from N165 to N650 and subsequent increase.
The increase also affected other commodities like school fees and food items thereby affecting the cost of living of Nigerians.
