Precious Cornerstone University matriculates 144 Students

No fewer than 144 students on Wednesday took the matriculation oath at Precious Cornerstone University.

The event which is the 5th matriculation ceremony of the institution was held at the University hall, in Ibadan, Oyo State capital.

The students were admitted into different programmes in the university’s two faculties: Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences and the Faculty of Social and Management Sciences.

Speaking during the event, the Vice Chancellor, Professor Julius Oloke, enjoined the students to take charge of their study by making the best use of the opportunity.

He said, “To all our matriculating Students, I wish to congratulate you for the opportunity to acquire skills that can make you become an employer of labour. Make the best use of this opportunity by allowing the University to pass through you. If you allow the University to pass through you, you must decide to obey all the rules and regulations of the University”.

Speaking further, he disclosed that the National Universities Commission has issued full accreditation for the Computer Science programme thereby certifying the course in the institution.

“Towards the end of 2022, we invited the National Universities Commission (NUC) for the Accreditation of our Computer Science programme.

“I am happy to inform you today that our Computer Science programme has been granted full accreditation.”

He however congratulated the parents and guardians of the matriculants for enrolling their children at PCU, describing it as a wise decisions.

He reteirated that PCU is the only university that has the lowest tuition fee which serves as a succor to parents.

The matriculation oath was administered on the new students by the registrar, Dr (Mrs) Pedetin Afolabi.
