Pope Francis’s health has taken a positive turn, according to the Vatican.

The 88-year-old pontiff, who has been hospitalized with pneumonia since February 14, has shown stable clinical conditions, with no fresh breathing crises reported.

The Vatican’s evening medical bulletin on Thursday stated that Francis’s blood work remained stable, and he continued with his breathing exercises and physiotherapy.

The pope also managed to do some work in the morning and afternoon, without experiencing a fever.

This update comes after a series of worrying episodes, including two breathing attacks on Monday, which sparked concerns about the pope’s health.

However, the Vatican has now announced that it will reduce the frequency of its medical updates, with the next bulletin scheduled for Saturday.

Despite the positive news, the Vatican has maintained a cautious outlook, with doctors continuing to monitor the pope’s condition closely.

Francis’s prolonged hospitalization has led to speculation about his potential resignation, but the Vatican has not commented on this possibility.

As the pope recovers, the Catholic Church continues to pray for his health and well-being.

The Holy See has announced that senior cardinal Michael Czerny will lead the mass this weekend, marking the first Sunday of Lent, in the pope’s absence.
