Police Offer N20m Reward for British National, Nigerian Allegedly Planning to Overthrow Tinubu

The Nigeria Police Force has announced a N20 million reward for information leading to the capture of British national Andrew Wynne, also known as Andrew Povich, and Nigerian Lucky Obiyan.

Both individuals are wanted for allegedly conspiring to overthrow Nigeria’s democratically elected government.

Force Spokesperson Muyiwa Adejobi revealed on Monday that Wynne is accused of setting up a network of sleeper cells aimed at destabilizing the country.

Wynne is also alleged to have rented space at Labour House and established a school as a cover for his activities.

“He (Wynne) used billions of naira to finance his Nigerian collaborators, urging them to incite violent attacks on police stations and military bases.

His goal was to provoke a bloodbath that would attract international condemnation of the Nigerian government.

These actions violate the Terrorism (Prevention) Act 2011 and other relevant laws,” Adejobi stated.

Both Wynne and Obiyan have reportedly fled the country.

In response, the police have issued a Special Gazette Bulletin offering N10 million for information leading to the arrest of each suspect.

The bulletin urges anyone with information to contact the nearest police station, the office of the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Department of Force Intelligence at Force Headquarters, Abuja, or call 08035179870, 09133333785, or 09133333786.
