The Bauchi State Police Command has reported the neutralization of six suspected criminals during a recent operation in the Ningi Local Government Area. The operation also resulted in the recovery of firearms and ammunition.
At a press conference on Friday, Commissioner of Police Awwal Musa shared details of the crackdown, emphasizing the commitment to reducing criminal activity in the region.
He stated, “We neutralized six hoodlums and recovered firearms and ammunition in the Ningi area.”
The police also apprehended a suspect found with two AK-47 rifles and 343 rounds of ammunition. Musa highlighted ongoing efforts to eliminate illegal firearms from public spaces and address issues related to criminal conspiracy and homicide.
The Commissioner reassured the public of the command’s dedication to curbing crime across border communities in Alkaleri, Ningi, and Toro LGAs.
He urged citizens to collaborate with law enforcement by reporting any suspicious activities promptly.
