Police nab armed robber attempting to sell stolen car in Kano

The Katsina State Police command has confirmed the arrest of a 25 year old robbery suspect,  Muhammad Hadi while attempting to sell a Toyota, Corolla LE, dark blue in colour, with registration number KANO, DAL 729 TZ, which was stolen.

The police said, Hadi was caught, “Behind Haman Plaza, Kabuga Quarters, Kano, Kano state, a kingpin of a notorious armed robbery syndicate, terrorizing FCT Abuja, Kano, Katsina, and Kaduna states   Nemesis caught up with the suspect, when he was accosted in Katsina city, while trying to dispose of up a motor vehicle, Toyota, Corolla LE, dark blue in colour, with registration number KANO, DAL 729 TZ, reasonably suspected to be stolen.” 

In a statement by the Kano State Police Spokesman, CSP Gambo Isah the suspect was caught with “One English Pistol, a Taser security device, Motor vehicle plate number – NIGER, SUL 96 GK, five ATM cards of different banks, and a Bank Token.

“In the course of the investigation, the suspect confessed that on 26/06/2023 at about 2030hrs, he conspired with the following suspects: one (1) Arafat Yahaya, ‘M’, aged 20yrs of Dutsen Amare Quarters, Katsina, (2) Ahmed Lawal, ‘M’, aged 21yrs of Filin fives Quarters, Katsina and (3) Al’amin Ndubisi, ‘M’, (now at large), attacked one Kingsley Agubata, ‘M’, aged 31yrs of NO. 5 Winners Way, Dawaki, Abuja, at gunpoint and robbed him of his motor vehicle, Toyota Corolla LE, valued two million, eight hundred thousand naira, (N2,800,000:00K). 

“Similarly, suspects are on the wanted list of the Kano state police command, for similar offenses of armed robbery and snatching of motor vehicles.  The investigation is ongoing.”
