Police arrests Bauchi woman for killing four-day-old step child

A housewife, Abubakar Furera has been arrested by the Bauchi state police command for allegedly killing four-day old step child

The state’spolice spokesperson, So Ahmed Wakil who confirmed the incident disclosed that the child was killed on August 19,2023

He said the inquiring shows that the suspect went to the other wife’s room with the substance used to kill insects and rubbed it on the baby’s umbilical cord.

The substance has an harmful effect on the baby’s health and led to the baby’s sudden death

Ahmed said inquiring is going on,more detailed information will be gathered and the suspect will be taken to court
