Ex NABTEB Boss Prof. Olu Aina

President Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated a former Registrar/Chief Executive of National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB), Prof. Olu Aina, on today’s celebration of his 80th birthday.

 

In a statement by the Special Adviser (SA) on Media and Publicity, Chief Femi Adesina, the President saluted the octogenarian for his trail-blazing and shining example in promoting training in vocational and technical education.

 

He noted that this is essential to fostering sustainable economic growth and poverty reduction in the country.

 

From a humble beginning as a primary and secondary school teacher in the Southwest to a teaching assistant in the United States (U.S), lecturer at Ahmadu Bello University (ABU), Zaria, and Professor of Vocational and Technical Education, President Buhari said Prof Aina has always been at the forefront of impacting excellence in technical education which helps Nigerians to acquire the right skills and training needed to succeed in the labour market.

 

As family, friends, former students and well-wishers gather to celebrate the former Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council at Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State, and former Executive Member of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC), the President prayed Almighty God to grant the senior citizen more years of health, happiness and fulfilment.
