Oyo State Govt. Woos Investors From Ogbomoso Diaspora

The Oyo State Government has extended an olive branch to indigenes of Ogbomoso resident in North America, urging them to take advantage of the numerous investment opportunities in the state.

Commissioner for Information, Prince Dotun Oyelade, made the call while delivering a keynote address at the Ogbomoso Sons and Daughters North America Convention in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

Oyelade highlighted the various landmark projects embarked upon by the Governor Seyi Makinde administration, which have made the state an attractive destination for investors. He listed the projects to include:

– Over 200km of interzonal and intrazonal road network

– Effective security structure

– Ongoing upgrade of the Ladoke Akintola International Passenger and Cargo Airport

– Agribusiness opportunities

The commissioner emphasized that the state government has made significant investments in the agricultural sector, including the provision of road infrastructure to link all economic zones in the state.

He invited his kinsmen to take advantage of the facilities, particularly in the Fasola Industrial Estate, which is completely fenced with drone surveillance, tarred roads, and housing facilities for investors.

Oyelade praised Governor Makinde for his commitment to the growth of Ogbomoso and the state at large, citing the ownership of Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) as a notable achievement.

The commissioner also paid tribute to heroes and heroines of Ogbomoso descent who have contributed to the development of their homeland and Nigeria.
