Oyo NSCDC reinstate committed to provide adequate security

The Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Micheal Adaralewa is committed to ensure the Federal Government provides a safe and secured environment for students in our Institution for easy training.

This was disclosed in a statement E-signed by the Public Relations Officer Oyindamola Okuneye, the Commandant emphasized on training as one of the focal agenda during the opening ceremony exercise of Safe Schools 2023 for NSCDC participants held at Nigeria Army 2 Division Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Ojoo Ibadan.

It reads, “Training and retraining is one of the focal agenda of the Commandant General of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in particular is his Commitment to ensuring that Federal Government initiative of providing a safe and secure environment for student in our institution becomes an achievable dream. That was the statement of the State Commandant of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps during the opening ceremony exercise of safe schools 2023 for NSCDC participants held at NIGERIA Army 2 Division Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment, Ojoo Ibadan.

“Commandant Micheal Adaralewa urged all participants to take the exercise seriously and participate actively. Apply what you learn in this exercise to your work and contribute to the success of the safe school response team, he stated.

During his keynote address, Major General B A Alabi GOC Division Adekunle Fajuyi Cantonment represented by Brigadier General BMG Martins Commended the authority of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps for the initiative of this safe school project to protect the lives of our children. We want what happened in Chibok to be things of the past, we don’t want it for our children.

“Meanwhile, giving the brief on National Safe Schools Response Coordination Centre(NSSRCC) by Commander Chief Superintendent of Corps Tersoo Shaapera PhD made it known that it is important for all security agencies to strengthen their collaboration and synergy with the security agencies and stakeholders in ensuring maximum security for schools.

The exercise safe schools 2023 for the South west zone comprises of delegations from Oyo, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, Ekiti and Lagos State.
