Oyo Govt receives new Olubadan nomination letter

The Oyo State Government has confirmed that it had obtained Oba Owolabi Olakulehin’s nomination letter to serve as the 43rd Olubadan of Ibadanland on Monday.

The State Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Segun Olayiwola, made this known on Monday.

“We have received the letter,” he declared. We’re putting some effort on it.

According to the Osun Defender, at a meeting at Oja’ba Palace, the kingmakers, led by Otun Olubadan and High Chief Rasidi Ladoja, proposed Oba Olakulehin to be the 43rd Olubadan.

Following the conference, his name was sent, in line with the 1957 Declaration, to Governor Seyi Makinde for ultimate approval.
