Oyo Action Alliance Party Gets New Executives

The Oyo State chapter of the Action Alliance party has elected new executives to lead its affairs.

The congress, which was held on February 7, 2025, brought together delegates from all 33 local government areas of the state.

The event began with the accreditation of delegates at 10 am, followed by the main congress at 11 am.

At the end of the exercise, new party executives emerged at both the state and local government levels.

Those elected at the ward and local government levels include Dr. Kolawole Afolabi, Mr. Adekanmi Adelakun, Mrs. Abosede Funmilayo from Ogbomoso South, Ogungbe Semiat, Akinade Ayodele Adijat, Mrs. Tokunbo Modupe, Kolade Remi Rotimi from Egbeda, Raji Abiodun, Akintayo Omolara, Hon. Olamide Olaleye from Ibadan North East, Alfa Ibrahim Azees from Akinyele, Ibikunle Paul from Lagelu, and Him Alaseowo from Ibarapa Central.

At the state level, Adeyemi Kolajo was elected as Chairman, Adegoke Ademola as Vice Chairman, Olasunkanmi Dauda as Secretary, Akinwale Emmanuel as Publicity Secretary, Paul Gbenga Martins as Treasurer, Akintayo Ridwan as Youth Leader, Adetayo Olusola as Women Leader, and Banjo Thomas as Financial Secretary.

For the Oyo Central Senatorial District, Pastor Olusola Adejumo emerged as the leader. The new executives were sworn in according to the party’s constitution, with party leaders and the legal adviser in attendance.

The congress signals a fresh phase for the party as it begins preparations for the 2027 elections.

Speaking after his inauguration, the newly elected chairman, Adeyemi Kolajo, urged all party members to unite and work towards the party’s progress.

He assured them that the new leadership would meet the expectations of both state and national party members.
