The Oyo state chapter of Action Alliance has debunked report of alliance with the Labour Party in the State and it’s governorship candidate, Hon. Taofeek Akinwale.

The LP candidate was said to have claimed a collaboration with the LP in a radio interview.

But in a statement made available to National Telescope by the AA, Oyo State Secretary, Pastor Emmanuel Olumide, the report is a mere rumor.

He further urged all members of the party to disregard the report.

The statement reads in part, “that there is no time or day where such meeting was held. That it is a thing of shame for Hon Taofeek Akinwale to belief that he can drag Action Alliance to the internal problem he has with the leadership of his party.

“He enjoined all members of A.A. in Oyo state to wait patiently for the directives from the leadership of the party and the governorship candidate Mr Ajekiigbe Olaniyi and challenged the Labour party candidate to mention the people that gave him such promise on behalf of the party for such unholy alliance, he noted.

“Meanwhile, the state executive and members of the party across the 33 local Government in Oyo state demand an apology from Taofeek Akinwale within the next 24 hours for the blatant lies he made against the party.

“Reacting to the Radio program interview, the gubernatorial candidate of Action Alliance AA, Mr Olaniyi Ajekiigbe said “it is a pity that people like Akinwale Taofeek of Labour party could descend so low to the point of telling lies publicly, he said such people are not fit to govern The pacesetter State at all.”
