Ahead of the 8th Triennial Delegates’ Conference of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) scheduled for Owerri in 2024, the NUJ Credentials Committee has reaffirmed that the screening of aspirants will hold on Wednesday, September 25th, 2024.
In a press release signed by the committee’s Chairman, Michael Ikeogwu, and Secretary, Ademu Seidu Haruna, the screening exercise is slated to take place at the NUJ National Secretariat, Abuja by 10:00 AM.
The committee also reminded State Councils and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council that the deadline for the submission of delegates’ lists, accompanied by passports, remains Tuesday, September 24th, 2024.
According to the committee, “We urge all councils to adhere strictly to the guidelines and timetable previously issued. There will be no extension of dates,” the statement read.
The NUJ Credentials Committee extended its well wishes to all aspirants and committee members, urging them to ensure prompt compliance. Setting that, “We wish everyone safe travels to Abuja for the screening,” the release concluded.
