Osun Community Hails Tinubu, Oyetola for New Federal University

The people of Iragbiji in Osun State have expressed profound gratitude to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for approving the establishment of the Federal University of Agriculture and Development Studies, Iragbiji (FUADSI).

In a statement signed by the Chairman of the Iragbiji Development Association (IDA), Dr. Lateef Raheem, and endorsed by the traditional ruler of the community, Oba Rasheed Ayotunde Olabomi Odundun IV, the community hailed Tinubu’s visionary leadership in bringing the long-standing dream to reality.

“We appreciate President Tinubu for his foresight and commitment to national development. His approval of this university is a testament to his dedication to improving education and agriculture in Nigeria,” the statement read.

The community also lauded the National Assembly leadership and key ministers, including the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola; the Minister of Education, Dr. Olatunji Alausa; and the Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Abubakar Kyari, for their roles in securing the university’s approval.

Speaking at a meeting held at the palace of the Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Olabomi described Oyetola as a true patriot and pillar of support for the community.

“Oyetola is our beloved community leader, a man of goodwill and dedication. His commitment to human capacity development and his love for Iragbiji have once again been demonstrated through this presidential approval,” the monarch stated.

The community further called on the Federal Government to provide the necessary administrative and executive backing to ensure the university’s swift takeoff and smooth operation.

They also commended Ministers Alausa and Kyari for their collaborative efforts in making the university a reality, emphasizing the importance of education and agriculture in national growth.
