Opposition ranting, we will win, Oyo PDP boasts

Demonstrating unwavering commitment to securing triumph for all its contenders in the upcoming local government poll, the People’s Democratic Party leadership in Oyo State, alongside the election management team, convened in Ibarapa. Here, jubilant party members, leaders, and esteemed traditional rulers had already assembled.

Deputy Chairman and representative of the Party Chairman, Hon. James Olukunle, urged all party members to refrain from engaging in any violent acts that could disrupt the election day, cautioning against falling prey to opposition tactics.

Reiterating the Governor’s assurance, Hon. Olukunle affirmed PDP’s determination to clinch victory across all 33 local government chairmanship and 351 councillorship positions come Saturday.

Alhaji Kamorudeen Adeyemi, PDP’s Oyo South Senatorial Chairman, lauded Governor Makinde for steering a government responsive to the people’s needs.

Addressing the enthusiastic crowd, Alhaji Adeyemi rallied support for PDP candidates, urging them to turn out in force on Election Day, echoing the fervor seen at rallies.

Dr. Mikail Aborode, from Ibarapa North, commended Governor Seyi Makinde for endearing PDP to the people of Oyo State through commendable governance, facilitating easy canvassing for votes.

Former Commissioner from Ibarapa East, Hon. M. A Ojoawo, implored continued support for Governor Makinde’s administration, cautioning against succumbing to opposition falsehoods, emphasizing the administration’s tangible achievements.

Speaking at Eruwa town hall, Hon. Ademola Ojo, Commissioner for Trade, Investment, and Cooperative in Oyo State, lauded Governor Makinde’s unmatched developmental strides, providing a strong campaign platform for PDP candidates.

Hon. Ojo confidently predicted PDP dominance in Saturday’s poll, underscoring PDP’s prominence and potency in Oyo State.

Youth and Sports Commissioner, Hon. Adegoke Wasilat, urged youths to eschew violence, stressing that Saturday’s poll belongs to PDP, with opposition already having had their chance.

During the flag presentation to chairmanship and vice chairmanship candidates in Ibarapa, Alhaji Wasiu Adeleke, Director General of the Election Management Team and Secretary of Oyo PDP, dismissed opposition rigging claims as baseless, assuring victory for all PDP candidates.

Adeleke cautioned against electoral disruptions, warning of legal consequences for troublemakers.

Receiving the party’s flags were Hon. Kazeem Arogundade Owolabi and Hon. Olakunle Olalowo from Ibarapa East; Hon. Lawal Lateef Akorede and Hon. Bisi Akande from Ibarapa North; and Hon. Adeleke Ayodele Olusola and Hon. Rasheed Babarinde from Ibarapa Central.

Prominent party stakeholders and State executive committee members were present, including Alhaji Kamoru Adeyemi, Chief Wale Atanda Alase, Hon. (Mrs) Funmilayo Orisadeyi, Hon. Monsuru Oduola, Hon. Gbenga Obalowo, Hon. Adedoyin Adeoye, Mr. Ogunsina Michael Oluwaseun, State Youth Leader, and Hon. Adelabu Aderemi Alaba, Acting Publicity Secretary.
