Ondo PDP begins accreditation for primary election

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has started the accreditation of delegate for the primary election. The Nation reports Thursday.

The primary is aimed at electing the opposition party’s candidate for the November governorship election in the state.

The exercise which is taking place a the International Culture and Event Centre (Dome), will host 627 delegates to elect the party’s governorship flag-bearer.

The seven aspirants are a former deputy governor of the state, Agboola Ajayi; a former Secretary-General of the pan-Yoruba socio-political association, Chief Olusola Ebiseni; a former member of the House of Representatives, Kolade Akinjo; a former Commissioner for Information, John Mafo.

Others include Adeolu Akinwumi, Bamidele Akingboye and Bosun Arebuwa.
