Oborevwori’s Administration Strengthens Ties with Traditional Institutions for Development

Delta State Governor, Sheriff Oborevwori, has affirmed the importance of his administration’s partnership with traditional institutions, stating that it has yielded positive results in achieving development goals.

Speaking at the presentation of staff of office to the Ovie of Agbarha-Warri Kingdom, HRM Kingsley Emakpo Orereh, Igbi II, the governor acknowledged the crucial role traditional institutions play in governance, especially at the grassroots level.

Oborevwori, represented by his deputy, Sir Monday Onyeme, commended the people of Agbarha-Warri for their unity and harmony, urging them to maintain these values.

He tasked the new king to uphold cultural values, be fair, and consult regularly with his people.

The governor also promised to prioritised the kingdom’s development requests, ensuring sustainable development and peace in the area.

High Chief Chris Eyitemi Orode, Chairman of the Staff of Office Planning Committee, welcomed guests and highlighted the kingdom’s strategic role in building bridges with other traditional rulers, ensuring peaceful coexistence.

He acknowledged the importance of peace in fast tracking development and pledged the kingdom’s support for the Oborevwori administration’s efforts to sustain peace in the area.
