NYSC Director Visits Lagos Camp

The Lagos State camp of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) specially received Prince Mohammed Momoh, the Director of Ventures Management and former NYSC Coordinator for Lagos State.

He was warmly welcomed during his official visit to the Iyana-Ipaja camp.

The visit provided an opportunity for him to engage with the 2024 Batch C Stream I corps members, encouraging them to fully embrace the camp’s activities as part of their transformational journey.

During his address, Prince Momoh emphasised that the orientation exercise is crucial in laying a solid foundation for a successful service year. He urged corps members to remain focused and take advantage of the various programmes available to enhance their skills.

He highlighted the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme as a vital avenue for achieving financial independence, encouraging the youths to invest time in mastering skills that can provide sustainable income.

He also stressed the importance of commitment to service, assuring the corps members that NYSC is dedicated to supporting those who demonstrate diligence.

He advised the participants to comply with NYSC regulations, avoid night journeys, steer clear of criminal activities, and build meaningful connections during their service year.

Meanwhile, Lagos State Coordinator, Mrs. Christiana Salmwang, during her welcoming remarks, provided an update on the vibrant camp activities, noting that corps members were integrating well into their platoons and participating eagerly in various exercises.

However, concluding his visit, Prince Momoh took time to interact with NYSC officials, urging them to remain dedicated to their responsibilities and take good care of their health.
