The Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Brigadier General YD Ahmed has assured Corps members of their safety during their postings, stating that they will be deployed to secure areas.
Ahmed made this assurance during his visit to the NYSC Oyo Permanent Orientation Camp in Iseyin on Friday.
He addressed the 2024 Batch B Stream 1 Corps members, who are currently undergoing 3 weeks mandatory orientation at the camp.

The NYSC DG congratulated the Corps members on completing their academic programmes and urged them to maintain discipline, respect, and caution when sharing camp activities on social media.
He encouraged them to participate in the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme, aimed at making them self-reliant.
He also noted that access to soft loans from stakeholders such as the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Leventis Foundation would be available to those who present viable business proposals.
“SAED is designed to make you independent adults,” Ahmed said.
“Support yourself with skills. Soft loans are available through stakeholders like the Central Bank of Nigeria, Leventis Foundation, Kudimata, and others.
“Maximize this opportunity to prepare for life after service.”
Ahmed also reminded the Corps members to wear their uniforms properly, respect camp officials, and integrate with host communities.
He praised their efforts in maintaining a clean environment and stressed the importance of hygiene to prevent cholera outbreaks in the camp.
NYSC Oyo State Coordinator, Mr. Odoba Abel Oche, expressed his gratitude for the DG’s support and commended the Corps members for their good conduct and active participation in camp activities.
