NYSC deploys 1856 Corps Members to Oyo

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has deployed 1856 Corps Members to Oyo State for 2023 Batch A, Stream II.

The Corps Members will commence their orientation course at the NYSC permanent orientation camp, Iseyin, Oyo State.

According to a statement signed by the Assistant Director, Press and Public Relations Unit, Olatoye Christy made available to NATIONAL TELESCOPE recently, the programme will start on Wednesday, April 26 to Tuesday, May 16, 2023.

It read, “a total number of One Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty-Six (1,856) Prospective Corps Members deployed to Oyo State are expected to undergo the Orientation exercise at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ogbakuta, Okeho Road, Iseyin.

“The Official Swearing-In Ceremony of the three- week induction Course will hold on Friday, 28th April, 2023 at the same Venue and it is expected to be presided over by the Executive Governor of Oyo State, Engr. Seyi Makinde while the Chief Judge of the State, Hon.Justice Iyabo Yerima would administer the Oath of Allegiance on the Prospective Corps Members(PCMs).

“Meanwhile, all key stakeholders and the Security Agencies are enjoined to ensure adequate security along the route to Iseyin are maintained while the Transport Union are equally implored to prevail on their members not to exploit these young Nigerians as many of them are visiting Oyo State for the first time.”
