NSCDC, Immigration Move To Improve Border Security in Kwara

In a bid to tackle insecurity in Nigeria, the Kwara State Commandant of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Commandant Umar J.G Mohammed (PhD), has called for sustained cooperation among security agencies.

He made this call when the new Kwara State Immigration Service Controller, CC Iyabode O. Okuwa-Idris, visited him in Ilorin on Monday, June 10, 2024.

Commandant Umar emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in addressing security challenges, stressing that combined resources and knowledge can effectively combat insecurity and ensure the safety of all Nigerians.

He reiterated the command’s commitment to supporting the Nigerian Immigration Service in combating irregular migration and trans-border crimes in Kwara State.

The Kwara State Comptroller of Immigration Service, CC Iyabode O. Okuwa-Idris, appreciated the warm reception and acknowledged the existing synergy between the two agencies.

She urged for further collaborations to minimize criminal activities and strengthen border security in Kwara State. This partnership aims to ensure the safety and security of Nigerians in the state.
