The family of the late Nollywood actor, John Odonwodo, famously known as Junior Pope, has announced his burial date as Friday, May 17, 2024.
Junior Pope, aged 43, tragically lost his life alongside four others on April 10 in a boat accident on the River Niger while returning from a movie shoot.
Funeral arrangements commenced on April 23 with a requiem mass at Saint John-Mary Vianney Parish, Asaba, Delta State, according to a statement signed by Divine Odonwodo on behalf of the family.
Another requiem mass is scheduled at Christ the King Catholic Parish, G.R.A, Enugu, on May 13, followed by an evening of tributes and candlelight at Amadeo Event Center in the state on May 14.
On May 16, a wake will be held at his hometown, Uwala Abaka, Ukehe, in Nsukkaa, Igboetiti LGA of Enugu State, with interment following the burial mass at St. Peter’s Parish, Ukehe, on May 17.
The final thanksgiving mass is set for Sunday, May 19, at St. Peter’s Parish Ukche Nsukkaa, Igboetiti LGA, Enugu.”
