Controversial Nollywood actor and filmmaker, Yul Edochie, has ignited surprise amongst his followers after unveiling his own church.
Prior to making the big reveal, rumors were made rounds when the movie star, on Tuesday morning, dished out a teaser about an upcoming event in his life.
He wrote: “I’m about to make the biggest announcement of my life today at 2 PM,”
In a follow-up post, Yul Edochie hit up his social media platforms to spill the beans that the much-anticipated revelation was none other than the grand unveiling of his new church, set to premiere on YouTube.
The actor, who’s always been vocal about his fervor for serving God, proclaimed in his caption that the moment had arrived to heed the call of the Almighty.
According to him, it’s time for him to wholeheartedly engage in God’s work, spreading the authentic message of faith.
He however revealed the name of the new church which he said will operate online through YouTube channel as True Salvation Ministry
In later post, he said, “why does God always choose stubborn people to work for him?”
Meanwhile, barely 24 hours after making the announcement he gained 50,000 likes, 30,000 comments, and 1200 shares on Facebook. On Instagram, he had 24,000 likes and over 11,000 comment within same period.
Surprised at the trend, he wrote, “This is God at work. My fans are the best, truly appreciated.”
It will be recalled that the new cleric-to-be emerged in 2017 as the Anambra governorship candidate for the Democratic Peoples Congress, DPC but couldn’t win the election..
He also made attempt to run for Nigerian Presidency in the 2023 general elections under the flagship of the All Progressive Grand Alliance but failed to clinch the ticket of the party at the primaries.
